The 3M™ Littmann® Classic II Pediatric stethoscope is specially designed for use on smaller patients. It delivers high acoustic sensitivity for both high- and low-frequency sounds through its double-sided chestpiece. It is used by healthcare professionals and students alike to identify, listen to and study heart, lung and other body sounds for physical assessment and diagnosis in paediatric patients.
Headset tension is easily adjusted for head size and comfort by squeezing the eartubes together or pulling them apart. Snap-tight, soft-sealing eartips adapt to individual ears for an excellent acoustic seal and a comfortable fit. The eartips snap onto the ends of the eartubes and, for safety, require considerable effort to remove.
Resilient next-generation tubing retains its shape and flexibility even after being folded tightly into a pocket. It gives a longer stethoscope life thanks to improved resistance to skin oils and alcohol, and is less prone to staining. Next-generation tubing is not made with natural rubber latex, which is an advantage for sensitive healthcare professionals and their patients. And to play its part in protecting human health and the environment, next-generation tubing contains no phthalate plasticisers.
